We have an exciting opportunity for a Booking Specialist to join us in our Christchurch based Contact Centre.
You will be responsible for providing the successful co-ordination and booking of imaging appointments that contribute positively to the company’s image by effectively interacting with patients, referrers, funders, and the public in a prompt and professional manner.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: - Answering incoming calls in an effective and timely manner to ensure a first call resolution and schedule appointments for a range of examinations for patients
- Apply correct protocols and liaise with the clinical team to obtain the correct procedures for the patient, any special requirements or staff required for the procedure
- Protecting patient privacy while also liaising with appropriate clinical teams to ensure the correct procedures are met
- Requesting blood tests, previous imaging and surgical notes on behalf of patients to ensure their procedures have the best outcome and ensure patient notes are clear
- Managing applications for funding as required as well as providing patients with a clear indication of costs for all procedures
You will be able to demonstrate the following skills: - Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and the ability to pick up new computer systems
- Exceptional organisational skills
- Warm and engaging interpersonal skills showing understanding and empathy
- Rock-solid customer service experience preferably within a Contact Centre environment
- Ability to process large amounts of technical and variable information in a calm and professional manner
- Some knowledge of medical terminology is desired
